Sobadokoro KANAJIYA – そば処　かなじ屋

On a weekend afternoon in mid-November, we drove to the highly rated Soba Restaurant Sobadokoro KANAJIYA for lunch. We arrived just before 1 o’clock in the afternoon. There was no one waiting outside, so when we opened the door and went inside, we were lucky to be immediately shown to a tatami table. Here I would like to introduce the dishes and my impression of Sobadokoro KANAJIYA.

１1月半ばの週末の昼、私たちは評価が高いこのお店「そば処　かなじ屋」へ二人でランチに車で行きました。到着したのは昼の1時前でした。外で待っていた人はいなく、戸を開けて中に入ると、私たちは運よく直ぐに座敷テーブルに案内されました。
ここに「そば処　かなじ屋」のお料理と感想を紹介させていただきます。

Dishes we odered – 私たちが頼んだ料理

We entered the restaurant and looked at the menu. On the menu, cold soba menu included Zaru soba, Kinoko Oroshi soba, and Kakiage Ontama soba, and hot soba menu included Kake soba, Kakiage soba, Kinoko Oroshiankake soba, Curry soba, and Kamonanban soba. All the soba can be made into a set meal for an additional fee. Comes with soba rice and mini side dishes. Other a la carte dishes included soba tofu, fried soba tofu, fried Moroko fish, and deep-fried Matsuba (chicken breastbone meat). In addition, there were desserts such as ice cream.

Meanwhile, I ordered a zaru soba set meal, and my partner ordered a duck nanban soba set meal with matcha ice cream and warabi mochi.

お店に入ってメニューを見ました。メニューは、冷たい蕎麦がざる蕎麦、キノコおろし蕎麦、かき揚げ温玉蕎麦があり、温かい蕎麦が、かけ蕎麦、かき揚げ蕎麦、キノコおろしあんかけ蕎麦、カレー蕎麦、鴨南蛮蕎麦があった。全ての蕎麦に、追加料金で定食に出来た。蕎麦ごはんとミニ総菜が付く。その他に、一品料理として、蕎麦豆腐、揚げ出し蕎麦豆腐、モロコ唐揚げ、マツバ（鶏）唐揚げ、などがあった。更には、アイスなどのデザートが並んでいた。
そんな中、私はざる蕎麦の定食を、相方は鴨南蛮蕎麦の定食と抹茶アイス＆わらび餅風をオーダーした。

Sobagohan (rice cooked by mixing buckwheat and rice) – 蕎麦ごはん

The soba rice is said to be made with “Suishamai”, which is slowly pounded at low temperatures in a water wheel near the restaurant to remove the bran.

蕎麦ごはんは、近くの水車でゆっくり低温で搗いたお米「水車米」を使用しているとのこと。

My impression – 感想

I would say “Feeling full of nature’s blessings”.

「自然の恵みがいっぱい感じられる」、というところでしょう。

Access – アクセス

To Sobadokoro KANAJIYA, I went by car. I drive west on National Route 2 in front of JR Aioi Station toward Okayama, turn right at the Unehara intersection, head north on National Route 373, turn right at the Kamigori Bridge East intersection toward Harima Science Garden City, and drive about 8 km on Prefectural Route 28.
There was a signboard with the name of the soba restaurant KANAJIYA and a right arrow indicating that it was up the hill on the right path. After turning right onto the path and going up the hill, we arrived at the restaurant.
From Harima Science Garden City, take Prefectural Route 28 for about 5km from the Central Techno intersection towards Kamigori.

「そば処　かなじ屋」へは、車で行きました。
JR相生駅前の国道2号線を岡山方面へ西進し、有年原交差点を右折して国道373号線を北上、上郡橋東を播磨科学公園都市方面へ右折し、県道28号線を8kmほど走ると右手に「そば処　かなじ屋→」の看板があり、右折して細い坂道を上がると到着です。
播磨科学公園都市からは、テクノ中央交差点を上郡方面へ県道28号線を5kmほど走ったあたりです。
