On a holiday in early October, I drove to “Puratto Kisumino”, that promotes local production for local consumption and is highly rated for its delicious 100% buckwheat noodles made with 100% local Kisumino buckwheat flour, for lunch.
It was a little past 12:30 noon when we arrived. I put my name on the waiting list and waited for about 30 minutes before being shown to a table. After that, I revisited several times every chance I had.
I will introduce the dishes and impressions of the restaurant here.

Dishes we odered –
(note): The description following (*) is especially the author’s imagination and interpretation. With that in mind, please enjoy this blog.
On the menu, the standard menu of Cold Soba was as follows:
1. “Zaru” (*) Dipping Cold Soba served on bamboo tray, made by splitting real bamboo in half, with dipping sauce
2. “Oroshi Soba” (*) Dipping Cold Soba served on pottery plate with an additional plate of grated “Daikon”, which is a kind of Japanese white radish, “Katsuobushi” (thinly sliced dried bonito), “Kizami-Negi” (Chopped green onions), and “Wasabi” as a condiment
3. “Tororo Soba” (*) Dipping Cold Soba on pottery plate, topping grated “Yamaimo”, which is a kind of Japanese yam and “Kizami-Nori” (shredded dried laver) as an optional ingredient
Seasonal rice could be added to the soba to make a “Teishoku” set meal.
Soba could be changed to “Juwari” (100% buckwheat), limited to 10 servings per day.
In addition, seasonal menus such as “Kamoseiro” were recommended.
Meanwhile, I ordered “Grated 100 percent set meal”. On another day, I ordered “Kamonambasoba” and “Kamoseiro”.

Azalea flower decoration and Himarayan Pink Solt –
As an option, the taste/flavor of the soba was enhanced by sprinkling Himalayan pink salt on the soba instead of dipping it in the sauce.
